Indie game studio · Byte + San

Byte by byte,
we build the mountain.

ByteSan is an indie studio that makes games the way you build a mountain: one small block at a time. San (산) means mountain in Korean. Three peaks are heading to Steam, and the fourth is still being built.

Different genres, different colors, different feel. A party shooter where you read angles like billiards, a horde shooter where you erase a thousand aliens, and a beat 'em up with fighting-game commands. Wishlist any of them on Steam to hear first when they launch.

A descent to send
a fallen star home to the sky.

About the studio

The name is how we work

A byte is one of the smallest units a computer works with. San (산) is Korean for mountain. Every blue block in our logo is a byte, and together they make the mountain.

We make games the same way. Stack one shot, one command, one room; play it; stack again. That is how we have been raising peak after peak, from a party shooter to a horde shooter, a beat 'em up and a metroidvania.
